Smoother live view, better maps, and reporting on by default
A big update to the live experience — smoother aircraft motion, widescreen-friendly maps, new map regions, and the Aircraft Reporting view turned on by default.
- Aircraft now glide smoothly across the live map instead of jumping
- Filter the live view — everything, wide-body jets only, or a clean no-labels look
- Maps fill widescreen displays edge-to-edge, with more regions available
- Aircraft Reporting is now on by default — busiest hours, top airlines and more
What changed
This is a large release focused on how the sky looks and feels on your display.
A smoother live map
Aircraft now move fluidly across the map between updates instead of hopping from point to point, and the whole view renders faster even when the sky is busy. The map also refreshes more often, with gentle fades as contacts come and go.
More ways to watch, better maps
- Filters. Switch the live view between all traffic, wide-body jets only, or a clean look with no labels.
- Widescreen maps. Map backgrounds now fill 16:9 displays edge-to-edge, and we added coverage for more areas.
Reporting, on by default
The Aircraft Reporting view — your busiest hours, top airlines, rarest types and first-seen tail numbers — now comes switched on, so there’s more to explore right out of the box.
Under the hood, this release also brings a range of reliability and self-healing improvements so your display keeps running smoothly. It all arrived automatically.
