Smoother motion, instant settings, and trail lines
Aircraft glide more smoothly, settings changes apply instantly, plus new trail lines, thousands more airline names, and the dark map now in Replay too.
- Aircraft glide smoothly between radio updates instead of jumping
- Settings now apply instantly — no more display reload when you change something
- New Trail Lines setting: off, 10, 30, 60 or 120 seconds, fading with age
A new dark map option, starting with the Live view
The Live view gets a new dark map background you can switch on, plus steadier automatic updates. (Replay gains it in v1.5.8.)
- New dark map background in the Live view — a third choice alongside the original map and a plain black
- Switch backgrounds anytime; nothing was replaced
- Automatic updates relaunch and recover more reliably
More reliable — and it keeps an eye on itself
The current release. Reliability fixes plus new background self-monitoring so problems are caught early, with automatic remote-antenna setup and more accurate aircraft labels.
- New background self-monitoring quietly checks the display's health
- Automatically finds a remote antenna on your network — no manual setup
- Better automatic recovery if the display ever hangs
Smoother live view, better maps, and reporting on by default
A big update to the live experience — smoother aircraft motion, widescreen-friendly maps, new map regions, and the Aircraft Reporting view turned on by default.
- Aircraft now glide smoothly across the live map instead of jumping
- Filter the live view — everything, wide-body jets only, or a clean no-labels look
- Maps fill widescreen displays edge-to-edge, with more regions available
Updates that recover on their own
Reliability improvements around over-the-air updates — your display now recovers gracefully on its own if an update is interrupted.
- If an update ever leaves the screen stuck, the display now recovers by itself
- Added a safeguard so low free space can no longer interrupt an update
A cleaner screen and steadier mode switching
Small polish and reliability update — a tidier full-screen display and more dependable mode switching, delivered over the air.
- The mouse cursor no longer appears over the display for a clean, kiosk-style screen
- Switching between display modes is saved reliably, so your unit remembers its view
